WCI Communities earns three Aurora Awards
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (July 28, 2012) – WCI Communities, the Bonita Springs-based lifestyle community developer and homebuilder, recently received three top awards from the Southeast Building Conference at the 2012 Aurora Awards.
WCI was awarded best detached single-family home for Pelican Preserve’s San Remo model ($200,001-$300,000), best attached for-sale home for Tiburón’s Marquesa Royale product (over $500,000), and best recreational facility for Pelican Preserve’s Plaza del Sol at The Town Center.
The redesigned San Remo Grand Villa home in Pelican Preserve is one of the most popular floor plans in the 55 and better community. The Grand Villa series was introduced by the homebuilder in late 2010. The new San Remo design was based on customer feedback that indicated a preference for a more open floor plan; the architects designed a spacious, well-appointed kitchen with a free-standing island/breakfast bar, which opens to an expansive great room and casual dining area.
WCI Communities helped signal the return of the upscale real estate market in Naples with the introduction of Marquesa Royale in the resort community of Tiburón. The Marquesa Royale neighborhood offers luxury penthouse condominiums, priced from the mid-$700,000s and appealing to the vacation resort buyer. With only one unit available for sale after introducing 24 units this year, Marquesa Royale has been an overwhelming success.
Plaza del Sol is a hub of activity nearly 24 hours a day, with fitness classes, indoor pool, spa, 99-seat movie theater, full fitness center and fine dining at the community’s restaurant, Destinations. The centerpiece of Pelican Preserve, Plaze del Sol is a driving factor for the community’s success, with 41 homes sales recorded in the first quarter of 2012 alone.
The Southeast Building Conference, the largest building industry trade show in the Southeast, is sponsored by the Florida Home Builders Association. The nationally recognized Aurora Awards honor architects, designers, builders and merchandisers for the best in building design, sustainability, innovation and integration of design within their communities.
WCI Communities creates master-planned lifestyle communities, catering to move-up, active adult and second-home buyers. Dedicated to product and service excellence as a People First-certified company, WCI offers traditional single and multi-family home choices with prices from the mid-$100,000s to just under $1 million. In addition to homebuilding and development, WCI generates revenues from its Prudential Florida Realty business, the second largest residential realty company in Florida; its Wells Fargo-affiliated mortgage services; insurance and title services, and its recreational amenities, as well as through land sales and joint ventures.
