WCI Communities yard sale raises $5,700 for United Way
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Nov. 21, 2011) – Associates from WCI Communities helped raised more than $5,700 for United Way of Lee, Hendy and Glades with a yard sale at the corporate office in Bonita Springs.
Donations included household items, electronics, gently used goods, crafts, holiday décor, and a selection of women’s clothing and accessories presented in a “boutique” section.
“The response to the yard sale was beyond our expectations,” said David Fry, WCI president and CEO. “Through the hard work and efforts of everyone here at WCI, our communities and participating residents, we were able to exceed our goal by 15 percent. United Way is a great cause, and we’re happy to partner with them to help those in need.”
The yard sale is one of many community-wide fundraisers sponsored by WCI Communities to support charitable organizations, including United Way, Harry Chapin Food Bank and Bonita Springs Assistance Center, among others.
