It's time to shine the spotlight on our fantastic WCI Residents again! With 11 amazing WCI communities dotting the coastlines of Florida, it is the lifestyle that our Residents and Members enjoy "inside the gates" that we are most proud. Whether our Residents love golf, boating, tennis, spas, working out, enjoying nature walks or dining, there's a WCI Club that will have itfor you! However, our Clubs just wouldn't be what they are without the remarkable Residents and Members coming out to enjoy it all!
So, what is life like as a WCI Resident or Member? This month we put the spotlight on Hank and Maureen, Residents at Westshore Yacht Club to get a glimpse of life in their shoes.
What is your typical day like living at Westshore Yacht Club? I wake up to the view of the Bay, with the sunlight twinkling over the waters. There’s always interesting activity to watch – boats coming and going, people fishing, people running/walking on the docks and on the streets. Sometimes I have my breakfast out on the patio, sometimes not. But with all the windows there’s a sense of being outdoors! My office is in my home, so I’m blessed to be able to walk into my "office" with just my comfortable clothes on and work at my own pace. I can choose to walk over to the fitness center or get a facial or massage or simply have lunch to break up the day! Every evening my husband, Hank and I sit up on our third floor balcony and watch the sun set over the water and hear the kids playing in the pool at The Club. Happy sounds and serene surroundings. That’s how I would describe Westshore Yacht Club! Has my life improved since moving here? Most definitely!!
What are your favorite activities at Westshore Yacht Club? Boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, bicycling, walking, sitting and watching the water!
What's been your favorite event at the Club? I’ve hosted two fishing tournaments here, and they were wonderful!
What do you love about the area? The water!! The beauty!!
What is your favorite room in your home? My bedroom suite and my third floor, including the balcony on the third floor!
What made you choose life at Westshore Yacht Club? We rented a slip for our boat a year before we purchased and it seemed like a great place to “live”! The Staff at the Club is really friendly and down-to-earth, too!
